Taiwan Trip - Part 2

For the second part of our trip in Taiwan, we stayed at the Chateau Beach Resort in Kenting. It was a private beach in southern Taiwan. The resort had 7 pools, spa and lots of activities for the kids. They enjoyed swimming in the pool and ocean, sailing, archery and even went snorkeling. The weather was perfect, around 80 degrees and sunny. I think we were the only non-Asian people at the resort.  No one spoke English except one employee at the resort that really helped us out in planning our activities. We had buffet breakfast each morning and buffet one night.  There was some strange food there. The kids did find a few things that they would eat.  There were some things there that Greg wouldn't even try!

First class on the high speed train in Taiwan.

Mountain on the back side of the resort.

They had these really cool hammocks on the edge of the beach under the trees.

Greg and the kids found some people to play volleyball with.

The waves were too big the first day for swimming.

The kids took archery lessons for two days. They were concerned about their age and said they needed to be 12 years or older. Since they learned how to do archery at the YMCA and YGuides, they were better than any of the adults.  Jackson hit the target almost every time.

Since it wasn't a Taiwan holiday, there weren't may kids their age there.  Nice having the beach to ourselves for a few days.
